Gelokt door een gemoedelijke stem en het plingende geluid van kristallen wandel je voorzichtig binnen in een ijswereld. Buiten is het koud, stormt het misschien wel.
Je hoort allerlei onbekende geluiden, maar zit lekker veilig in een grote iglo. Tot het weer tijd is om de iglo te verlaten en de rest van deze ijswereld te verkennen.
Misschien kom je zelfs te weten waar al die geluiden vandaan komen...

IGLO is een coproductie van Musica en C-TAKT.
In Babelut Parcours ZIMZUM, small children imagine themselves to be big and big people imagine themselves to be small. Through folding and stretching, everything is thrown out of proportion.
Babelut Parcours is a biennial musical experience for children aged 0 to 5 and their (grand)parents. International artists take the participants on a voyage of discovery full of music, sound installations and, above all, lots of interaction. Passively participating is not an option: the young visitors become little artists themselves and a source of inspiration for the actors, musicians and dancers.
Together with musical ensemble Down The Rabbit Hole, dramaturge Koen Haagdorens, composer Frédéric Verrières and theatre maker Tina Heylen, we are developing a brand new musical experience as a successor to IGLO and GOLD: Babelut Parcours ZIMZUM, in which we zoom in and out both auditorily and visually, from impressive to intimate and back again.
During the performance, the scenography transforms constantly. Move from a large room filled with loud electronics to a small room with intimate melody, and back again. The visual and musical play of the artists stimulates all your senses. In addition, it stimulates the little ones to explore on their own and actively participate in Babelut Parcours ZIMZUM.

IGLO
Lured by a soulful voice and the sparkling sound of crystals, you walk carefully into an ice world. It’s cold outside, it might be stormy.
You hear all sorts of unknown sounds, but yet sit safe and sound in a large igloo. Until it’s once again time to leave the igloo and explore the rest of the ice world.

GOLD
“Whoever finds a friend finds a (golden) treasure”, so an Italian proverb says.
With this lovely theme in mind, Musica, Impulse Centre for Music and TRAFFIK THEATER have created an experience trail for the whole family, full of musical interaction and visual, tactile and auditory excitement.
In 2017 Babelut Parcours was launched,a brand new formula aimed at children aged 0 to 5 and their parents or grandparents. For three hours, they can have the time of their life; surrounded by all kinds of musical theatre adapted to every age group. As they make their way through the adventure, participants are caught up in a current of voices, rhythms and movement; alternating with moments of calm and play when needed. In a tactile environment, they discover materials and sounds through play. As they interact with musicians and actors, children and adults are transformed into artists great and small. And then suddenly a dancer and a violinist appear… The rest is a secret for the time being, but one thing is for sure: everyone will go home with a golden blush on their cheeks.
With music from Stravinsky, Vivaldi, Veracini, Telemann, Bach, Sjostakovitsj and
Strauss.
